1. Steady persistence is a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.

2.Theology. continuance in a state of grace to the end, leading to eternal salvation.

Perseverance is our responsibility in this process of being changed.
Perseverance changes us. It matures us and makes us ready to be the living sacrifices Paul describes in Romans 12:1.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

When we give up on this battle of our flesh we are giving up on our part of the partnership with Christ.

When we choose to persevere we become mature and complete not lacking anything. We will have everything we need.

Perseverance does not mean that there will never be areas in our lives where we will struggle. There will still be battles and we will lose a few. But if we’re willing to persevere in this process, one day- with Christ beside us- we will win the war.

: to agree to stop fighting, hiding, resisting, etc., because you know that you will not win or succeed
: to give the control or use of (something) to someone else
: to allow something (such as a habit or desire) to influence or control you.

Our strength is not found in how intensely we struggle. Our strength is found in Christ and in how completely we surrender.
When we completely surrender, we come to the end of ourselves and our abilities and we relinquish our lives in order for Jesus to use them for His purposes.

Today we need to persevere and be patient. Because it takes a process to produce a product, and a process takes time. But never forget this process is divine. God is right beside us. He is the one who is in charge. All he asks is that you partner with him and surrender completely to what he is doing in our lives.

Persevering and surrendering means taking action and giving effort.
But first we must know God intimately. We must know His great love for us so that we will live our daily lives in a way that will return that love back to Him.
Love will always require sacrifice.
Love is patient and will always overcome.

Today your challenge is to press on, press through, and press towards the higher calling and purposes for Christ. Surrender your day and tasks to Him. Continue in His grace and overcome the struggles that want to hold you down.

Move your body on purpose with His purposes for your life in focus.
